Life has the propensity to get crazy. We all know it. We all feel it. We've all been there. Sometimes it's all we can do to just survive, and some days we feel like it's impossible to move forward; to grow and expand, to take ground in the battlefield of our dreams, or simply our existence.
It's important to recognize that those feelings are not truth. They may be a reality that you are experiencing, but it's not your end game. Sometimes we just need to step back and take inventory of how far we have traveled. Remind ourselves of the obstacles we have overcome, the good things that have transpired. It's imperative to our mental (and thus physical) health to live in that place of understanding and perspective if we are to continue to move forward.
Recognition of our current emotional state is totally valid. You are absolutely allowed to be where you are and feel what you feel. There is no one or no thing that you should allow to tell you otherwise. But I propose the question, after that realization, what are you going to do? what will be your reaction to adversity?-- and I will add that sometimes we can't do it ourselves! and better yet, we don't have to! Find a trusted friend, a mentor, a mama or papa and allow them to speak to that place. To remind you, even when you don't want reminding, that life is more that your current, sticky circumstance. That you have purpose and you are a person of intention and focus.
You have come an awful long way. You have overcome great obstacles. You have gained wisdom in areas and experience across the board. Whatever it is you are facing, you can achieve it, defeat it. Your life is an inspiring story, let it be, simply, that.
